Birdwatching is a very interesting modality that consists, as its name indicates, in the appreciation of wild birds, their songs, their morphological characteristics, behavior and habitat.

Those who decide to join this adventure will have the pleasure of contemplating more than 350 species of birds, 26 of them endemic to Cuba. Whether for their melodious song or the beauty of their plumage, the following birds stand out among others: the Cuban trogon, the Zapata wren, the bee hummingbird (the smallest bird in the world), the Cuban tody and Zapata sparrow.

The sites that are ideal for bird watching on the island are Viñales National Park and Mil Cumbres Managed Resources Area in Pinar del Río, Zapata Peninsula Biosphere Reserve in Matanzas, Limones de Tuabaquey Ecological Reserve in Camagüey, Alejandro de Humboldt National Park in Holguín and Guantánamo and Cayo Coco Ecological Reserve in Ciego de Ávila.

You can snorkel all year round in Cuba. The wind and tropical climate provide a pleasant temperature. Cuba has more than 300 snorkeling sites.

For beginners, there are many possibilities for snorkeling in crystal clear Waters from the shore. There are also many opportunities for adventurers, with beautiful corals, rocks, caves and underwater life.  There is plenty to see!  Dolphins, turtles, sharks, moray eels, crabs, lobsters, stingray fish and even whale sharks. And of course, all kinds of colorful fish such as angelfish, snappers, lionfish, acanthurids, catfish, perch and butterfly fish.

Cuba´s landscapes are worth visiting on foot to contemplate their colorful green contrasts. Tours can be of relatively short duration on flat paths to enjoy hiking, or of longer duration in half-day, one-day or even several days hikes. When it comes to ascent in mountainous areas, the physical effort is always rewarded by the views of valleys and mountains.
