Call for Proposals for the 18th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism

The event, aimed at journalists, communicators, and other professionals, will be an ideal space to once again analyze global trends in tourism and communication, emphasizing topics of primary interest such as the rise of ecotourism and the impact of artificial intelligence on tourism narratives, among others.
In addition, it will foster an exchange of opportunities, challenges, and best practices in media coverage.

New technologies, and now artificial intelligence, are gaining ground, impacting the management of hotels, travel agencies, and specialized journalistic communication. Therefore, it is very important to acquire tools that can enhance specialized journalistic work.
In this edition of the Seminar, we will continue to address nature tourism, or ecotourism, considering its growing trend worldwide.

We will learn about one of the experiences of the ECOTUR S.A. Travel Agency associated with sustainable environmental management in natural areas with a high degree of biological diversity and high aesthetic and landscape values.

The seminar will bring together experts in tourism, journalism, and technological innovation to analyze how the tourism industry is transforming. Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and various hotel chains will participate in the seminar's lectures and debates.
As in previous years, the meeting will gain rigor through open exchange and debate among colleagues from multiple Latin American and Caribbean countries, regular participants in each edition.
